About Patmos
Patmos is one of the most spiritually significant islands in the Christian world — it was here, in a cave on the hillside, that St. John the Theologian received the visions that became the Book of Revelation. The UNESCO-listed Monastery of St. John, a fortress-like structure crowning the island, and the Cave of the Apocalypse below it, draw pilgrims from around the world.
