About Amorgos
Amorgos is the easternmost island of the Cyclades and one of its most dramatic — a long, narrow island of towering cliffs, deep ravines, and the iconic Monastery of Hozoviotissa clinging impossibly to a 300-metre cliff face. The island gained international fame as the filming location of Luc Besson's 'The Big Blue', and its crystal-clear waters and rugged beauty continue to attract divers, hikers, and seekers of authentic Greek island life. Amorgos has two charming ports — Katapola and Aegiali — and a magnificent hilltop Chora.
